In
Process Plants CABLE DUCTS are the main arteries of the
plant, carrying hundreds of Cable into and from the Central
Control stations and Power houses. Conventionally made
up of Steel, General Composites is probably the only company
on the globe, providing the same product in Pultruded
Glass reinforced polymer. An average life of a CABLE DUCT
in a corrosive environment is maximum 10 - 12 years, requiring
heavy maintenance in the process. The conventional Steel
CABLE DUCTS have been a bane for many a maintenance personnel
across refineries and major process plants across the
globe, being subjected to a highly corrosive environment. |

General Composites (P) Ltd., has developed GRP DUCTS,
designed to carry UDL loads unto 1000 kgs./mtr on a 3000mm
support span (i.e. 3000 kgs. for a 3000mm DUCT). DUCTS
installed in the Indian refineries are performing satisfactorily.
